RUSSIA-US-MONUMENT
TO GO WITH THE STORY : " Moscou offre a New-York une larme geante en hommage aux morts du 11 septembre" by Michel Viateau. An artist sketch of the monument offered by Russia to the United States, to be made by Russian monumentalist Zurab Tsereteli on the Hudson river bank in New York, commemorating the victims of the September 11 terrorist attacks on the World Trade Center. The bronze monument is to be 30 m high and will contain a stainless steel tear. The inauguration of the monument is planned for the third anniversary of the attack on 11 September 2004. AFP PHOTO
