CHILE-JUSTICE-PINOCHET-ARRESTS
Members of Chile's Communist Party demonstrate on October 4th, 2007, at the entrance of the women's prison of Santiago, where the daughters of former dictator Augusto Pinochet -Lucia, Veronica and Jacqueline- are being held. Chilean authorities on Thursday arrested the five children of Pinochet and ordered the detention of his widow for their role in the alleged embezzlement of millions of dollars stashed in US accounts. Judge Carlos Cerda also ordered the arrest of 17 others, including former aides and lawyers of the late strongman. Among those ordered arrested were Pinochet's former personal secretary Monica Ananias, his ex-spokesman Guillermo Garin and his lawyer Gustavo Collao. AFP PHOTO/GERALDO CASO
