Philippine soldiers arrive in the back of a truck to attend a public ceremony at Rizal park in Manila, 17 October 2007 commemorating the UN declaration marking 17 October as the World Day for overcoming extreme poverty under the national campaign "Stand Out And Speak Out Against Poverty." The Philippines is among the 191 countries who signed the millenium declaration that is comitted to the millenium development goals to fight poverty, hunger, disease, enivronmental degradation and discrimination by the year 2015.
