Former President Jacques Chirac (C), former European deputy and President of the "Cite nationale de l’histoire de l’immigration" (CNHI), Jacques Toubon (R) and CNHI headmistress, Patricia Sitruk (L), leave the CNHI, 19 October in Paris, after a visit of Jacques Chirac. The aim of the museum, which opened its doors 10 October 2007, is to situate the history of immigration in a common history federating the memories of the French around a shared memory.
