BAHRAIN-ATTACKS-US
A picture dated 07 October 2007 and released by the US Navy shows US sailors assigned to Los Angeles-class attack submarine USS Philadelphia (SSN 690) standing topside as the submarine gets underway in Manama on a scheduled deployment. Two US sailors were shot dead and a third critically wounded in their barracks in the Gulf state of Bahrain 22 October 2007, the US military said. Two were pronounced dead at the scene and the third was taken to a local hospital for treatment. The incident is currently under investigation, the military said. AFP PHOTO/US NAVY/Octavio N. ORTIZ
