DOMINICAN REPUBLIC-BANINTER-SENTENCE-ALVAREZ
Ex main consultant of the Intercontinental Bank and Dominican former ambassador in France, Luis Alvarez Renta, arrives to the Justice Palace in Santo Domingo, 21 October 2007, where the sentence for alleged fraud was read to Baninter' s former executives. Alvarez Renta, Baninter' s ex president Ramon Baez Figueroa, Baninter' s ex-vicepresident Marcos Baez Cocco, and Baninter' s executive Vivian Lubrano de Castillo, were accused of having embezzled 2.000 millon dollars in 2003, which caused a collapse in the country' s economy.
