GUATEMALA-GERMANY-DRESDEN CODEX-REPLICA
Guatemalan vice-president Eduardo Stein (L) and Prince Alexander of Saxony unveil a replica of a Maya Codex at the National Museum of Archaeology and ethnology in Guatemala City, 22 October 2007. The replica of the original document, one of the four pre-Columbian Maya codices which is presently in the state library in Dresden, Germany since 1739 and is known as the "Dresden Codex", was given to Guatemala last month by the German government.
