"Junior", a 2006 Volkswagen Passat Station wagon diesel, heavily modified and robotized by a team of Stanford University, crosses the finish line in first place of the DARPA urban challenge 03 November 2007 in Victorville, California. The DARPA urban challenge, set up by the US department of Defense, consists of a 60-mile (96km) course in an urban environment, simulating guerilla warfare, which the opponent cars are to achieve independently, without a driver or being remote-controlled.
