SWTZERLAND-UN-CYPRUS-TALKS-CYPRUS FM
The Foreign Minister of Cyprus, George Iacovou, steps out of his car 24 March 2004, at the Grand Hotel in Burgenstock, Switzerland, just as journalists are taken to the hotel for a first look at the premises. Greece and Turkey are due today to join make-or-break UN-sponsored talks here on reunifying Cyprus before May 1, when the ethnically divided Mediterranean island is due to join the European Union. The Greek and Turkish foreign ministers are due to attend the first day of negotiations.
