BRITAIN-BRAZIL-ATTACKS-POLICE-COURT
Patricia Da Silva Armani, (L) Alessandro Pereira (C) and Vivian Figueiredo, (R) family members of Brazilian Jean Charles de Menezes, address the media following a press conference to announce the findings by the Independent Police Complaints Commission, (IPCC) investigating the death of Brazilian Jean Charles de Menezes in central London, 08 November 2007. Britain's top police officer Ian Blair faced further pressure to quit Thursday after a watchdog said he tried to block a probe into the killing of a man officers mistook for a would-be suicide bomber. Its report was the basis of a prosecution against London's Metropolitan Police which saw it being fined 175,000 pounds (252,000 euros, 364,000 dollars) last week over the incident at Stockwell underground train station in the city. Since the case wrapped up, Metropolitan Police chief Sir Ian Blair has faced a barrage of calls from politicians across the political spectrum to quit. AFP PHOTO/LEON NEAL
