FRANCE-CORSICA-JUSTICE
Dominique (C) and Marie-Christophine Erignac (R), the widow and daughter of Claude Erignac, the prefect on the French Mediterranean island who was murdured in 1998, arrive with their lawyer Philippe Lemaire (L) 12 November 2007 at the Paris courthouse, before the opening of the trial of Yvan Colonna. The latter, a 47 year-old goat herder and independence activist, is accused of murdering Erignac, 60, in February 1998 as he walked to a concert-hall in the southern Corsican city of Ajaccio. Colonna, who is the son of a former Corsican parliament member, spent several years in hiding in the mountains of Corsica after being named as a suspect in the affair.
