FRANCE-CORSICA-JUSTICE
Jean-Hugues Colonna (L), father of Yvan Colonna the alleged killer of prefect Claude Erignac, speaks with French Bishop Jacques Gaillot at the Paris courthouse, 12 November 2007, before the opening of the trial of his son. Yvan Colonna, a 47 year-old goat herder and independence activist, is accused of murdering the prefect on the French Mediterranean island Corsica, Claude Erignac, 60, in February 1998 as he walked to a concert-hall in the southern Corsican city of Ajaccio. Colonna, who is the son of a former Corsican parliament member, spent several years in hiding in the mountains of Corsica after being named as a suspect in the affair. He was finally captured in 2003. AFP PHOTO OLIVIER LABAN-MATTEI
