World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) president Dick Pound looks set to court controversy after accusing the Spanish government and judicial system of falling short in its commitment to prosecute those involved in the infamous Operation Puerto. Operation Puerto was a police investigation instigated in May 2006 into the work of the Spanish doctor Eufemiano Fuentes, who is alleged have provided performance-enhancing drugs to more than 200 professional sportsmen and women.
