CUBA-US-PEREZ ROQUE-DISIDENTS
Cuban Minister of Foreign Affairs, Felipe Perez Roque, accuses the US Government during a press conference held in Havana 25 March, 2004, of campaigning against Cuba by defaming the situation of 75 dissidents jailed a year ago in the island. Perez Roque submitted what he considered evidence of such defamations, and claimed the dissidents were financially backed by the current US administration. A picture of US congressman Lincoln Diaz-Balart and his quote that the assassination of Cuban President Fidel Castro should be imposed, is screened at the back during the conference.
