COLOMBIA-VENEZUELA-FARC-HOSTAGES
Relatives of people kidnapped by the guerrilla FARC hold a sign reading "Not a bloody rescue operation!" during a protest 22 November 2007 in front of Bolivar square in Bogota. Uribe said Thursday he will keep looking for a hostage swap with the Revolutionary Armed Forces of Colombia (FARC) leftist rebel group, but without putting at risk his fight against the guerrilla. Yesterday, Uribe had abruptly ended Venezuelan president Hugo Chavez's role as a mediator in a potential hostage swap saying he ignored a key request.
