A Santa Claus offers traditional German Christmas pastry "Christstollen" to visitors of the country's oldest Chrismas market, Dresden's so-called "Striezelmarkt", during its opening evening, 28 November 2007. An essential part of Christmas in Germany, the seasonal outdoor markets offer Christmas treats such as mulled wine, and sweets, as well as rides and sausages.
