Visitors are under artificial snowfall as they crowd Germany's oldest Chrismas market, Dresden's so-called "Striezelmarkt", on its opening evening 28 November 2007. An essential part of Christmas in Germany, the seasonal outdoor markets offer Christmas treats such as mulled wine, and sweets, as well as rides and sausages.
