SLOVENIA-CULTURE-MUSIC-POLITICS
TO GO WITH AFP STORY BY PHILIPPE SCHWAB--Ivan Novak, leader of Slovenian industrial music group Laibach, is pictured on the hill above capital Ljubljana, 19 October 2007. Laibach, a symbol in the 1980's of the fight against the Yugoslavian communist regime, continues to provoke with deliberate ambiguous usage of national and political symbols with which his brand has become well known. Although it is the Slovenian band most known in the world, with more than one million sold albums, Laibach does not appear in the program of the festivities of the Slovenian presidency of the European Union in the first half of 2008.
