New Argentine president Cristina Fernandez de Kirchner straightens up the presidential sash during the swear-in ceremony at the Congress building in Buenos Aires, on December 10th, 2007. Fernandez de Kirchner, 54, was sworn in as the first woman president of Argentina before the two chambers of Congress, after sweeping the polls in October elections to replace her husband Nestor Kirchner.
