(FILES) Iraqi Sunni "volunteers", former insurgents who have joined forces with US and Iraqi troops against Al-Qaeda in Iraq, raise their weapons and flash the "V" for victory sign after they claimed to have pushed Al-Qaeda from their town during a day long battle fought against Al-Qaeda in Iraq fighters, in the Hawra Haajab village on the southern outskirts of Baghdad, 06 September 2007. The former insurgent fighters supported by US troops succeeded in pushing Al-Qaeda fighters out of the village for the first time in nearly three years following a day long battle that saw more than 30 suspected Al-Qaeda operatives detained and at least four fighters killed, US military sources said.
