URUGUAY-COOPERATIVE-GARBAGE
A member of the Juan Cacharpa cooperative carries a sack with cardboard after classifying it from a pile of garbage in Montevideo, 14 November, 2007. In 2005, a group of 12 refuse collectors, some of whom were living in absolute poverty, created the Juan Cacharpa cooperative to work on rubbish classification.
