VENEZUELA-COLOMBIA-FARC-GONZALEZ-RELEASE
Former Colombian lawmaker Consuelo Gonzalez de Perdomo (C) reunites with her daughters Maria Fernanda (L) and Patricia (R), as she holds her granddaughter Maria Juniana in her arms, upon arriving at Maiquetia international airport in Caracas on January 10th, 2008, just a few hours after being released by the Revolutionary Armed Forces of Colombia (FARC). Gonzalez and politician Clara Rojas, two high-profile women hostages held in the Amazon jungle by the FARC rebels for some six years have been freed in a secret rendezvous point in the Colombian jungle and were immediately flown to Venezuela.
