ICOAST-NEW FORCES-DISARMAMENT
Ivory Coast's former rebel soldiers of the New Forces (Forces Nouvelles) movement line up in front of one of their camps offices to be interviewed during a registration operation in Bouake, 11 January 2008 to help them to get back to civil life as part of a national disarmament programme. Ivorian President Laurent Gbagbo and rebel leader Guillaume Soro signed a deal to hold elections in late June 2008 "at the latest" in a bid to end five years of conflict in the West African country.
