LEBANON-BLAST
A video grab from the Lebanese Broadcasting Coporation (LBC) shows a Lebanese rescue worker lifting up a blood-spattered white sheet apparently covering a single corpse, after a blast that targeted a US embassy car in a northern suburb of the Lebanese capital killed at least three and injured ten, 15 January 2008 on a seafront road outside Qarantina. Today's blast came amidst a deep political crisis in Lebanon with rival parties deadlocked over efforts to find a replacement for former pro-Syrian head of state Emile Lahoud who stood down in November.
