Some lawyers of some plaintiff towns damaged by the pollution, Corinne Lepage (2dL) and Jean-Pierre Mignard (R) wait to hear the verdict of the "Erika" trial, 16 January 2008 in Paris. The trial aimed at deciding whether Total and other parties bear responsibility for the massive oil spill from the Erika shipwreck in 1999.
