Leaders from the 15-nation (ECOWAS) began summit talks today scheduled to focus on their body's finances and the situation of divided Ivory Coast. Libyan leader Moamer Kadhafi was present as a "special guest" and seated to the right of host President Blaise Compaore of Burkina Faso, who is the current ECOWAS chairman, as the opening ceremony got under way.
