GERMANY-BASE-JUMPING-WORLD-OFFBEAT
A base jumper opens his parachute as he jumps from the 104 meters tall roof of the Tropical Islands Resort in Brand in the southeast of Berlin during the Indoor Base World Cup 25 January 2008. The competition took place at Europe's largest self-supporting hall, which originally was constructed as a production hall by insolvent German aeronautics company CargoLifter. The hall has been rebuilt for the Resort financed by a Malaysian investor, and is designed to be a holiday destination with artificial waterfalls, lagoons and flowering gardens.
