TO GO WITH STORIES ON APPEAL (FILES) - This aerial file photo taken 13 December 1999 shows the stern of the Maltese registered oil tanker Erika as it sinks off the French coast near Brest western France. Eight years after the disaster that devasted some 400km of French coastline, a Parisian tribunal announced its verdict last 16 January 2008 regarding responsibility for the shipwreck.
