BELGIUM-EU-GENERAL-AFFAIRS-PALESTINE-DEMONSTRATION
Sheik Jamel Tahiri (L) of the "Centre Zahra France" and Belgian rabbi Shmiel Mordche Borreman (R) of the "Yechouroun Judaic Center against Sionism" protest against the Israeli siege of Gaza, 28 January 2008 in front of the European headquarters in Brussels. Attending the 10,000-strong demonstration, Borreman, a leading anti-Zionist, began and ended his speech saluting protestors with the Arabic greeting, “Salamun Alaykum.” Arab foreign ministers called Monday for the Rafah crossing between Gaza and Egypt to be reopened, on the sixth day of a Palestinian exodus across the breached border.
