AUSTRALIA-LIFESAVERS-ABORIGINAL
Three year old Jyl Malachi from the outback town of Brewarrina sits in the arms of 75 year old Peter Clarke of the South Narrabeen Surf Lifesaving Club after a weekend's stay at the beach in Sydney on February 4, 2008. The surf lifesaving club adopted the town three years ago and this year 39 Aboriginal children travelled down for a weekend by the sea. The club is hoping that other Surf Life Saving clubs along the Australian coast may follow its lead and work for a closer relationship with the nations indigenous people by adopting a town.
