Photo shows Lazare Ponticelli, 110, one of the last two French army survivors of WWI, 16 December 2007 at the Museum of History of Immigration in Paris. Born in Italy, naturalised in 1939, Lazare Ponticelli is the last Foreign Legionnaire to have taken part in WWI. A book is to be published by L'Esprit du Livre, in hommage to him as well as the Foreign Legion.. AFP PHOTO PIERRE VERDY
