EL SALVADOR-IRAQ-CUSCATLAN BATALLION-DEPLOYMENT
Soldiers of the Cuscatlan Batallion march during a farewell ceremony at the Artillery regiment in San Juan Opico, La Libertad, 35 km west of San Salvador, on February 5, 2008. Two hundred and eighty Salvadorean soldiers will be deployed to Iraq in what is the 10th rotation of the Cuscatlan Batallion. Salvador is the only Latin American country to have troops in Iraq.
