ECUADOR-VOLCANO-ERUPTION
A resident of La Palestina collects wood just 2 km from the Tungurahua volcano, located 135 km south of Quito, on February 8, 2008. Ecuador's Tungurahua volcano rumbled and exploded for a third day Friday. The 5,029-metre Tungurahua, which means "throat of fire" in native Quechua language, first exploded into action on Wednesday after two years of quiet, forcing 1,450 people to abandon their homes.
