TO GO WITH AFP STORY
Little Honduran Gerson Melendez, plays with a ball during a training session at the Garifuna community of Triunfo de la Cruz, some 300 km north of Tegucigalpa, on February 9, 2008. Inspired by David Suazo, an Honduran striker who plays for Italy's Inter de Milan, and other footballers who made it abroad, hundreds of Garifuna children are training four hours a day with the hope of following the footsteps of their idols and leave poverty behind.
