A picture taken on February 13, 2008, in the Paris Invalides Museum shows a wall of portraits, from his chilhood until his presidency, of Charles de Gaulle, former French President (1958-69) prior to the inauguration of the Historial de Gaulle.The Historial is divided into sections, one of them shows de Gaulle as leader of the "France Libre" (Free France), following his broadcast "18 June 1940 Appeal", in London during World War II.
