MIDEAST-LEBANON-ISRAEL-MINE-WOUNDED
Ali Hussein Shibli, 46-years-old, is wheeled by medics into the local hospital after he was injured in the leg by a cluster bomb while out tending his flock close to the southern Lebanese village of Halta, near the town of Marjayoun. Some one million cluster bombs litter the southern Lebanese countryside, lobbed by Israel during the Lebanon-Israel war in July 2006. Shibli’s son also a shepherd died last year in a similar incident, and his brother too lost a leg after stepping on a cluster bomb. AFP PHOTO / ALI DIA
