Russian police stare at Russia's former atomic energy minister Yevgeny Adamov in a courtroom in Moscow on February 20, 2008 before being sentenced to five and half years in prison. Adamov was convicted of embezzling, USD 31 million (EUROS 21 millions). Adamov, who was atomic energy minister from 1998 to 2001, was arrested in Switzerland in May 2005 after a request from the United States that he be extradited on charges of embezzlement, money laundering and fraud.
