Former Volkswagen works committee chief Klaus Volkert (R), lawyer Johann Schwenn and former Volkswagen personnel chief Hans-Joachim Gebauer (L) arrive at court on February 22, 2008 in Braunschweig (Brunswick), central Germany. Volkert was sentenced to two years and nine months in jail for his role in a massive corruption scandal that hit Europe's biggest carmaker in 2005. Gebauer was handed a suspended prison sentence.
