(FILES) In this picture taken July 26, 2007, Indian railway workers restore sleepers of the Bangladesh bound railway line close to the Indian border station at Gede, some 120 kms northwest of Kolkata. Bangladesh and India have moved closer to restoring passenger train services for the first time in more than four decades after Dhaka agreed to put up border fencing, officials said February 25, 2008. The Bangladeshi cabinet late February 24, fulfilled a key demand of India when it approved fencing along the rail line on the border, national railway chief Belayet Hossain said. Passenger train services between the two countries were suspended after the 1965 war between India and Pakistan. Bangladesh was then part of Pakistan and became independent in 1971.
