COLOMBIA-VENEZUELA-FARC-HOSTAGES-RELEASE
TV grab from Venezuelan network Telesur showing a group of hostages just released by the Colombian FARC guerrillas at an undisclosed place of the Colombian jungle, in their way to board a helicopter to transport them at Santo Domingo's airport in Venezuela on February 27, 2008. Colombian rebels on Wednesday freed four former lawmakers held hostage for more than six years, handing them over to representatives of the Red Cross and Venezuela. The release took place in jungle in southwest Colombia, where two Venezuelan MI-17 helicopters painted with Red Cross symbols picked up the hostages in an operation authorized by the Colombian government, the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) said.
