AUSTRALIA-ART-SCULPTURE-AWARDS
Werribee Park's Maree Blackburn (L) looks at a sculpture titled 'Pont de L'Archeveche' which has won the 2008 Helen Lempriere National Sculpture Award, in Melbourne on March 5, 2008. The win has earned Bob Jenyns 115,000 Australia dollars (105,000 US dollars) in the country's richest sculpture award. The sculpture of a caravan comes from the artist's love of Meccano sets and inspired by the late great Australian painter Albert Tucker who built a caravan in his hotel room in Paris in the 1950's before dismantling it and setting it up on the banks of the River Seine to save money during his residency there.
