NETHERLANDS-HEAD-RECONSTRUCTION
Dutch specialist Maja d'Hollosy works on the reconstruction of the head of a boy between the age of five and ten on March 20, 2008 in Amsterdam. D'Hollosy is reconstructing the heads of four inhibitants of Vlaardingen from the eleventh century, an adult male and female, and a boy and a girl. The remains of the four bodies from the eleventh century were found in a market square in Vlaardingen, where they were buried between 1000 and 1050. DNA-research proved a dentist from Rotterdam to be a descendant of the male regaining his old face. The pins pictured show how deep the tissue will be. The faces will go on display once they're finished. AFP PHOTO / ANP PHOTO / VALERIE KUYPERS Netherlands out - Belgium out
