The UCI and its former president Mr. Hein Verbruggen on March 21, 2008 announced they have sued Canada's Richard Pound, the former president of WADA, before Swiss courts for what they perceive as being continual injurious and biased comments by Dick Pound against UCI and Hein Verbruggen in the context of the efforts made by them to eradicate doping from their sport.
