In an interview to French daily paper Le Figaro on March 25, 2008, Yade said she was ready to receive the Dalai Lama if he came to France for a visit. She said on March 20, there should be no hasty international decision to boycott the opening ceremony of the Beijing Olympic Games over a crackdown in Tibet.
