GERMANY-SPACE-ESA-SCHEGEL
European Space Agency (ESA) astronaut Hans Schlegel of Germany addresses a press conference in the western German city of Cologne on April 3, 2008 on the occasion of the successfully docking of the Automated Transfer Vehicle (ATV) with the International Space Station. The ATV -- described by ESA as combining the functions of a "tug boat and a river barge" -- is carrying 7.5 tonnes of drinking water, food and other essentials for the astronauts on the space station.
