JAPAN-IRAQ-HOSTAGE
Ayako Inoue (L), sister of Nahoko Takato and Naoko Imai (R) mother of Noriaki Imai, family members of Japanese civilians kidnapped in Iraq hug each other as they heared that the three Japanese hostages were released in Iraq, at Chitose airport on the northern Japanese island of Hokkaido, 15 April 2004. Japan confirmed the release of three of its citizens taken hostage in Iraq, but there was no word on two more Japanese nationals who had reportedly been abducted in the war-torn country.
