MACEDONIA-NATO-NULAND
US ambassador to NATO Victoria Nuland enters the Macedonian Government building in Skopje on April 9, 2008. Nuland arrived for talks with the the Republic of Macedonia's President and the Prime Minister after Macedonia was not invited to join NATO, alongside Croatia and Albania following the NATO summit in Bucharest last week. Macedonia's bid to join the 26-member alliance was nixed by Athens in a long-running row over the right to the name Macedonia, which is shared by a northern Greek province.
