FRANCE-BELGIUM-TRIAL-FOURNIRET
A courtroom sketch shows French self-confessed serial killer Michel Fourniret (L) speaking with his lawyers Pierre Blocquaux and Philippe Jumelin during the Fourniret trial on April 9, 2008 in the Charleville-Mezieres courthouse, northern France. Fourniret is being tried for two months for the murder of seven young women, in France and Belgium between 1987 and 2001, along with his wife and alleged accomplice Monique Olivier. Jeanne-Marie Desramault, a 22-year-old law student, was kidnapped on March 18, 1989 outside the Charleville-Mezieres train station. In July 2004, Fourniret led investigators to her body, on the grounds of a chateau he once owned in the town of Donchery. Fourniret has confessed to her murder. AFP PHOTO BENOIT PEYRUCQ
