INDIA-HEALTH-BIRD FLU
An Indian health worker wrings the necks of a duck during a cull after the 3rd outbreak of bird flu at the village of Chandrapur in Bishalgarh, some 30 kms from Agartala on April 27, 2008. Indian authorities ordered the slaughter of 50,000 birds after a new outbreak of bird flu was confirmed in a state bordering Bangladesh, officials said. The remote northeastern state of Tripura is the second state after West Bengal in the country's east to report an outbreak of avian influenza this year. AFP PHOTO/PARTHAJIT DATTA
