FRANCE-CHAD-BRITAIN-AID-CRIME
France's Human Rights junior Minister Rama Yade speaks to journalists about the death of a French member of the charity 'Save the Children' Pascal Marlinge, murdered on May 1, 2008 in eastern Chad, upon arrival of his coffin at Charles-de-Gaulle airport in Roissy-en-France, north of Paris, on May 4, 2008. International Aid groups suspended on May 2, 2008 humanitarian operations in Chad for two days to protest the slaying of the French aid worker. "The humanitarian community decided to recommend a suspension of humanitarian activities, apart from emergency ones," said a statement by the UN humanitarian coordinator in Chad, Kingsley Amaning as the hunted started for the killers of Marlinge. Marlinge, who worked for Save the Children, was shot dead as he drove in a convoy in Chad's war-stricken eastern region, the charity said. AFP PHOTO PIERRE VERDY
